As a Vulnerability Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in protecting our organisation from cyber threats, enhancing our security posture, and contributing to the strategic direction of our cybersecurity initiatives.

Responsibilities

Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits across various platforms including networks, applications, and systems.
Analyze security breaches to determine their root cause, recommend remediation strategies, and implement solutions.
Work closely with IT and development teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle.
Stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and remediation techniques.
Prepare detailed reports on security findings and present these to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
Participate in the design and implementation of security controls to mitigate identified risks.
Provide guidance and training to staff on security best practices and compliance with security policies.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
At least 3-5 years of experience in IT security, with a focus on vulnerability assessment and management.
Certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are highly desirable.
Strong understanding of network security, operating system security, and application security.
Experience with vulnerability scanning tools like Nessus, Qualys, or similar.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
