Responsibilities
Monitor security events, network traffic, and system logs to identify potential threats in real-time.
Analyze threat data to understand attack vectors, motives, and methodologies of adversaries.
Develop and maintain threat intelligence reports, providing strategic insights to leadership.
Collaborate with the Incident Response team to mitigate active threats and vulnerabilities.
Conduct threat hunting activities to proactively find indicators of compromise not detected by automated systems.
Participate in the development and improvement of security operations procedures.
Educate and train staff on threat awareness, phishing, and other social engineering tactics.
Keep abreast of the latest cyber threat trends, attack techniques, and defensive strategies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on threat analysis or intelligence.
Proficiency with threat intelligence platforms (TIPs), SIEM systems, and other security tools like Splunk, Snort, or Yara.
Understanding of malware analysis, network security, and the cyber kill chain.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to correlate disparate pieces of information into coherent threat narratives.
Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or GIAC Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst (GCTIA) are advantageous.
Exceptional communication skills for reporting to technical and non-technical audiences.
