This is a unique opportunity to lead the ComSec strategy for a dynamic organization at the forefront of technology and security. Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage security policies, procedures, and standards for all communication channels.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies.
Lead incident response activities for breaches in communication security, including investigation, resolution, and post-incident analysis.
Coordinate with IT, HR, and other departments to embed security practices in all aspects of communication.
Stay abreast of emerging threats, technologies, and best practices in ComSec, and adapt strategies accordingly.
Train and educate staff on security awareness, particularly related to communication tools and practices.
Manage relationships with external vendors and consultants for security solutions and services.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security, with at least 3 years in a leadership role focused on communications security.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or equivalent certification.
Profound understanding of network protocols, encryption technologies, and secure communication methods.
Strong knowledge of UK and EU data protection laws such as GDPR.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex security issues to non-technical staff.
